We like to think of ourselves as passionate storytellers who love all things film; from geeking out on post production workflow to the fine points of distribution. We pride ourselves on bringing message bearing films to market, not leaving a stone unturned when it comes to making sure they find their audience. As a result, we have secured worldwide distribution on all our titles. We don’t forget that our primary responsibility is our investors and recoupment of their capital.
ESL
Our first feature, English as a Second Language, starred Kuno Becker, Maria Conchita Alonso and John Michael Higgins. The film premiered on the Showtime Networks and had a successful festival run. ESL is a timeless love story that tracks a young man’s journey from Mexico to the US to support his family and a young woman’s journey of self-discovery.
BEDROOMS
Bedrooms, a gut wrenching drama of four intertwined stories with multiple writers and directors was our foray into film festival critical acclaim. Bedrooms stars Julie Benz, Moon Bloodgood, Xander Berkely and Barry Bostwick. “Bedrooms” also had a strong festival run and premiered on the Showtime Networks.
FILLY BROWN
Our second foray into critical acclaim landed us a birth at the prestigious Sundance film Festival as Filly Brown secured a dramatic competition birth as well as domestic release by Lion’s Gate/Pantelion on over 200 screens. Filly Brown is a story about a tough female rapper transforming from underground street rapper to pop stardom. The film stars Gina Rodriguez, Edward James Olmos, Lou Diamond Phillips and the late Jenni Rivera.
ENTER THE DANGEROUS MIND
EDM, was our exciting descent into the world of the “psychological thriller”. Starring; Jake Hoffman, Nikki Reed and Scott Bakula, the film is set in the underground electro world, tracking the dark mind of a musical savant who goes on a horrific killing spree. The script very simply answered the question of what would the life of someone who just for all intents and purposes snapped. With the rise of school shootings and mental illness we wanted to explore the dark tenets of that world. The film premiered at the 2013 SXSW film festival and racked up many audience awards.
THE BOUNCE BACK
This light hearted urban romantic comedy allowed us to flex our rom com skills. We were approached to write, direct and produce a vessel for Shemar Moore to show off his comedy chops as his team prepped him for commercial fare. We created the story of a best selling relationship book author, who, on a whirlwind promotional tour meets a therapist who thinks he’s nothing more than a charlatan. The film stars Shemar Moore, Bill Bellamy, Nadine Velazquez, Cheryl Underwood and Kali Hawk and to this day has been one of our most beloved titles.
